Friends, Football Enthusiasts and Brethren, Football Season is here. Know what That means!
CO – ED and DeMolay FLAG FOOTBALL!
Sadly, it’s to late to sign up for Co – Ed Flag Football, but, there will be a dance there, following the games! Shoot us an email if your interested!
As for DeMolay Football, It’s still not to late. If your a young men, interested in tossing the pig skin around, and running yards, to get a touch down, then Pennsylvania DeMolay’s Football Tounement ‘09 is for you! The tournament will take place October 16th-18th, and fun times will be had for all!

The League

Join the League of DeMolays!
So what’s in it for you? Well heroes don’t go un rewarded, and the League of Extraordinary DeMolays offers a robust benefits package!
Increasing membership in the League is the number one goal, so for bringing in just 1 new member, you’ll be rewarded with a Super Hero Rubber Ducky! Having trouble finding new recruits? No worries! We also need smart heroes, so just complete all 5 LCC’s and get the same prize!
A Superhero can’t go without a uniform, so the League will provide one for you! Simply find two new heroes to join the cause, and we’ll provide you with a superhero t-shirt to sport while you are fighting villainy!
However, we know some heroes just can’t seem to rustle up 2 new guys, so we offer the same prize for completing the Representative DeMolay Award and having it approved by Headquarters.
In the ever expanding catalogue of rewards for aiding the League, we are proud to introduce our latest publication, awarded to those heroes who have really gone beyond the call of duty – the Superhero Encyclopedia!
This tome is perfect for referencing heroes to aid in your cause will provide you with vital intelligence and serve as your reward for bringing in 9 new heroes.
For completing the mission, and recruiting 10 new heroes, you’ll be richly rewarded with a $50 gift card to almost anywhere! Just let your team Captain know when he contacts you! So go out to eat a heroic meal or buy that new video game, it’s on the League!
Being a superhero isn’t a solo effort though! The team is what helps you fight villainy and aids in times of trouble and need!
Therefore the team effort is just as important! If you’re Chapter brings in at least 60% of its membership goal for the year it will be rewarded with a 10 in 1 game set to enjoy some down time or $25 off the cost of attending a state event! See, being a team player is where it’s at!

Word has it that there is one ultimate prize to be given out. This prize has been kept secret until now! The hero who recruits the most new team members will be given an all expenses paid trip to his choice of Convention 2010, a PA DeMolay Sports Tournament, or credit towards attending Key Man, Life Skills, or Life Changers! That should increase your superpowers for sure! A hero must recruit at least 7 new members to earn this prize though!

Teams shouldn’t stop there though! If your team has managed to bring in 80% of your goal you’ve worked really hard! In that case, it’s just as important to play hard! To reward your efforts the League will pay for a party at a Movie Theatre of your choice ($10 per ticket) for you and the team to go out and blow off some steam or you can attend a state event and get $50 off! Free games, and now free movies – what more could a team ask for! |

I’ll tell you what they can ask for! More fun and games of course! If a superhero has gotten this far he’s probably recruited lots of friends to join the team, and what’s more fun than competing with them! If a Chapter manages to get in 100% of its membership goal then no expense will be spared in rewarding them with a multi purpose gaming table for their team HQ! Battle each other in air hockey and other sports to prove your might! If you’d rather come face other teams in competition you can trade in your table for $100 off a state event! |

Every superhero and team wants one other thing though, bragging rights! If you and your team really want to go all the way and show who is the most powerful you’ll have to recruit at least 10 new members, and more members than any other team! For this outstanding accomplishment you will be paid a visit from the State Master Councilor who will present you will a plaque and Templar Shield recognizing you and your team as true Super heroes of membership!

Cross of Honor

Congratulations to “Mom” B. for being nominated for the Cross of Honor this year!
What exactly is the “Cross of Honor”? This lovely Honor is presented to those who give a lifetime of support to the Order of Demolay. It is gold filled and enameled in red, white and blue. It is beautifully studded with seed pearls and rubies around the emblem. It measures 1 3/4 by 1 3/4 inches square and is worn around the neck.

Convention 2009

Convention 2009 in Camp Hill!

What is convention? Convention is a 4 day FUN state wide conference.
What happens at “Convention”? The first day, we attended Hershey Park. The following day was a fun filled sporting tournements at City Island! Despite the rain, we all had fun.
The Saturday, and Sunday is when the new core of officers are annouced, after being voted by their peers, the DeMolay. Sunday is the installation!
The 2009 core of officers are as follows:

W. Thomas Moyer: Deputy State Master Councilor/Pilgrim Chapter
Matthew Maple: State Senior Councilor/George Washington Chapter
Matthew D. Blaisdell: State Junior Councilor/Riverside Chapter

Kevin Hunt: State Tresurer/Lorraine Chapter
Next years convention will be held in Cranberry, which is located closer to Pittsburg. We encourage everyone to attend!
